Mr. Smith joined Prospect Partners in March 2005 as an Associate and became a Vice President of the Firm in 2006. Prior to joining Prospect Partners, he worked as an Associate at GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC, a large Chicago-based private equity firm. Before that, Mr. Smith was an Associate at JPMorgan Partners, the private equity arm of JPMorgan Chase, in New York. Earlier, he worked as an Analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co., in the Investment Banking Division in New York, focusing on mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Smith is a Director of Delta Industrial Services, LLC; Presidential Pools and Spas, LLC; Regency Windows Corporation; and Superior Tool Holding Company.

Mr. Smith earned a BS from Northwestern University.
