Prior to forming Prospect Partners, Mr. Kenter was the principal
of Kenter and Co., a lower middle market buyout firm, from 1993
to 1997. At Kenter and Co., Mr. Kenter originated and invested in
the leveraged acquisitions of 10 companies, including Arnold Palmer
Golf Management Company, Inc. and MapQuest.com.
From 1988 to 1992, Mr.
Kenter was with Marquette Venture Partners, a diversified private
venture capital firm in Chicago that managed $180 million in two
funds. At Marquette, Mr. Kenter originated a number of investments,
and served on the boards of several Marquette portfolio companies.
From 1984 to 1988, Mr. Kenter was
a Manager at McKinsey & Co., an international management consulting
firm. Prior to receiving his MBA, Mr. Kenter worked from 1980 to
1982 as a project engineer for the architectural and engineering
firm of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.
At Prospect Partners, Mr. Kenter is currently
Chairman of 7 platform companies: CoAMS Holdings, Inc.; Education
Futures Group, LLC; GameMark Products, Inc.; Prospect Pools Group, LLC; Studio Equipment Services, LLC; Summit Fire Protection Co.;
and Weaver Multimedia Group, Inc. He is also a Director of Linkage Holdings Corp. Mr. Kenter formerly served as Chairman of Delta Industrial Services, LLC and Education Corporation of
America and as a Director of Utility Service Partners and V4 Group, Inc.
Mr. Kenter's outside board positions include a chairmanship of John Boos & Company. He also formerly served as a Director of a number of other companies, including: Arnold
Palmer Golf Management Company, Inc., Equestrian Products Corp.,
Kifco, Inc., MapQuest.com, Naegele Outdoor Advertising Co. and The Revere Group, Inc.
Mr. Kenter earned a BS
from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of
Chicago.
